Onestop - Retail Sales Assistant
I worked as a Retail Sales Assistant at OneStop, where I handled daily customer transactions, restocked shelves, and maintained a clean, organised workspace. I also assisted with Evri parcel scanning and dispatch, ensuring efficient parcel handling for customers. Regularly interacting with a diverse range of customers helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and friendly under pressure. I worked effectively as part of a team, followed procedures accurately, and contributed to providing a smooth shopping experience. This role taught me reliability, time management, and the importance of excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. As part of a team it was essential to keep the store running smoothly. I coordinated with colleagues to restock shelves, manage customer service, and handle tasks efficiently, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
I built and ran a profitable solo reselling business started learning about Reselling in January 2020 and by 2023 I started sourcing, marketing, and selling trending products online such as shoes, clothes, electronics etc. Through in-depth market research and trend analysis, I identified high-demand items and optimized listings with SEO-friendly titles and high-quality photography to increase engagement. I mastered pricing strategies and negotiation tactics to maximize profit margins, I handled all customer interactions, making sure buyers were satisfied and leaving positive reviews. I managed inventory, packaging, and reliable shipping logistics, and leveraged platform algorithms on Snapchat and Facebook Marketplace through strategic timing and relisting to boost product visibility. Through this I made £2500+ over the course of the summer. This experience strengthened my e-commerce skills, branding, negotiation, closing the sale and business scaling capabilities. I also joined and assisted in the creation of a reselling community called Repolution.
Reseller
Freelance Video Editor
I worked as a Freelance Video Editor from December 2024 to July 2025, creating short-form video content for clients in fitness, boxing, and e-commerce industries using DaVinci Resolve. I edited TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts following trending formats and pacing to maximize viewer retention. I collaborated closely with clients to understand their brand voice and content goals, offering creative input and making multiple revisions to tailor videos to their channels. I managed the entire workflow—from briefing and scripting assistance to editing, delivery, and feedback—while meeting tight deadlines across multiple projects. Through professionalism and clear communication, I built strong client relationships and consistently delivered high-quality content. I am also skilled in graphic design, using Canva proficiently to complement video work.
Boxing youth assistant
I volunteered as a Youth Boxing Assistant at Tiger Bay ABC, I set up training equipment, helped organize and run boxing events, and assisted coaches during practice sessions. I worked directly with young fighters, providing support and encouragement to help improve their technique and confidence. I also managed class logistics, ensured equipment safety, and maintained a disciplined training environment. This role developed my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while reinforcing the importance of focus and responsibility. This was in the lead up to a club show in which I aided selling tickets online and to the community. During the event we worked as a team to ensure all needs had been met and the venue was orderly organised in which people would come and watch the fights.
